My first weaving experience was in the six grade when I wove placemats for a class party using construction paper.  Since then, I have tried many different fiber arts but I kept thinking about weaving.  Life, children, lots of moving and a career filled my time.

About 20 years ago I took a weaving class at Halycon in Bath Maine and found that I love the feel of working with a loom to create something.   Since then I have attended workshops, lectures and art shows, inspired by other artists to try different styles of weaving.

I was first drawn to rugs while taking a rug weaving class with Jason Collingwood at Harrisville studios in NH.  I  enjoy making household goods such as rag rugs using denim and other up cycled materials.  I also enjoy weaving hand towels, coasters, placemats, runners and cozy blankets.

The best part of weaving is the community of weavers that I am lucky enough to be part of.   The energy that they bring to my weaving is enormous and treasured.
