In September 2020 five weavers came together as South End Woven. 

 

Collectively we have more than 100 years of weaving experience and a shared love of weaving.  We have been friends for years and are grateful for this opportunity to create a community where we can practice, produce and inspire.

 

This is a working studio where we refine our approach to traditional weaving techniques and practices with new ones.  Often we utilize the technique of hand-painting our warps and wefts with dye to produce one-of-a-kind articles  We inspire each other and each project invites ideas for many more.

In a visit to our studio or website you will discover a variety of weaving styles and products from scarves and shawls to blankets, baskets, rugs and table linens. The variety reflects the styles of each artist.
